Minority Prospects
Road Map

All roads lead to increasing professional and college opportunities. MBP/MSP regional showcases are designed to identify minority talent around the world. Once prospects are identified, their skills videos, metric measures, and academic status are accessible to thousands of professional and college scouts from across the country. Through further evaluation of talent MBP/MSP scouts select prospects for invite only marquee All- American Game events. MBP/ MSP national events begin at grade school levels up to college levels. Each event provides an electric experience, visibility, development and maximum exposure amongst the best prospects in the country

Regional ID Showcases

Regional showcases are designed to assist players with gauging their skill and metric performance on a college and professional scale. MBP showcases also catapult selected prospects to our grade specific national events, increasing maximum visibility and exposure.

Middle School
All-American Game

Minority Baseball Prospects’ (MBP) Middle School Game serves as a platform to bring early recognition and exposure to the recruiting process. MBP is aware that there are minorities in the game of baseball that aren’t receiving exposure platforms. This programming allows each player to receive maximum exposure and evaluation from college and professional scouts. The Inaugural event was hosted in Gastonia, NC and featured 100 of the top 7th and 8th grade minority prospects in the country.

High School Showdown

Minority Baseball Prospects’ (MBP) High School Showdown is a three day baseball experience featuring 30 of the top minority high school teams in the country. This playing experience was created to provide inner city schools an opportunity to compete against the country’s top minority draft eligible talent. Moreover the experience allows high school programs a unique platform for competition, state of the art facilities and national recognition

Underclass
All-American Games

Minority Baseball Prospects’ (MBP) Underclass Game serves as a platform to bring exposure and progressive skills tracking for prospects. The Underclass Game allows each player to continue receiving further evaluation from college and professional scouts. The 9th and 10th grade year for our prospects are important in regards of progressive skill development. This event features 100 of the top 9th & 10th grade minority prospects in the country.

All-American Game

Minority Baseball Prospects’ (MBP) All-American Game serves as a platform to increase draft stock and collegiate scholarship offers. All-American Game programming allows each prospect to showcase with the best of the best. The marquee event holds historic value, serving as the first programming event for MBP in October of 2020. The All-American game has featured more than 40 Major League draft picks and more than 150 college signees in the last 3 years. This event features 100 of the top 11th and 12th grade minority prospects in the country.

MSP All-American Game

MSP All-American Game
The Minority Softball Prospects (MSP) All- American Game serves as a platform to increase minority participation in softball and  bringing exposure and visibility to college and professional scouts. The Inagural event was hosted in Orlando, FL at the University of Central Florida in 2023 and featured 100 of the top high school minorities players in the country. Event consist of a combine day, parent informational, and (4) 7 inning showcase softball games. This event averages 25 collegiate and professional scouts for evaluation.

HBCU All-Star Games

The Inaugural MBP HBCU AlI-Star Game in 2021 was the first of its kind in history offered to HBCU baseball players. Minority Baseball Prospects realize the difficulties that HBCU programs face when it comes to high level experiences and visibility to professional playing opportunities. Putting the best of the best in HBCU baseball on one stage has created a valuable opportunity for professional scouts to identify and evaluate from an elite HBCU pool of talent. In year two Minority Baseball Prospects added a major partnership with the Atlanta Braves' Henry Louis Aaron Fund dedicated to increasing minority participation in baseball, celebrating the legacy of HBCU institutions, and also bringing awareness to thriving Black businesses. MBP grew the event by bringing the HBCU homecoming atmosphere to the ballpark, averaging more than 7,000 fans in attendance.

Minority Prospects Coaches Clinics

Minority Prospects’ Coaches Clinics were designed to welcome coaches to learn from some of the best baseball and softball minds in the game. Coaches are able to learn Skills techniques and drills in prospective position areas. Coaches are also able to learn about organizational structure of a building a program, recruiting, and mental coaching strategies. MP’s Coaches Clinics are also environments created to establish a coaching network.

Summer Collegiate League

Minority Baseball Prospects’ (MBP) Summer Collegiate Baseball League provides college baseball players a summer baseball experience with quality competition and scouting exposure. The league provides 10 weeks of developmental skills training, 20 + regular season games, an All-Star break, double elimination playoffs, and a championship game. Unique to the Collegiate League programming is the designed corporate and entrepreneurial internship opportunities included with the league. MBP not only strives to serve our prospects but eventually prepare and assist them with being placed into non playing professional careers
