The first-ever Minority Prospects Final College Showdown brought the spirit of HBCU excellence to life with an unforgettable three-day celebration of sports, culture, and community impact — powered by purpose and backed by thousands.

Three elite HBCU programs — Morehouse College, Miles College, and Tuskegee University — took the field at Riverwalk Stadium in front of electric crowds. With Miles College, led by Head Coach Milton Barney, ultimately claiming the crown, the competition reflected not only athletic talent but the pride and tradition of Black college baseball.

  • Over 8,000 local students participated in two full School System Days, creating unforgettable field trip experiences centered around education, inspiration, and live college baseball.

  • Fan Fest at The Nest brought families, fans, and vendors together with games, music, and food in a vibrant celebration of HBCU culture.

  • Across two days, the event welcomed over 10,000 fans — a massive turnout for HBCU baseball and a testament to the excitement this platform brings.

On Friday night, the celebration continued with “R&B on the River” at Montgomery Riverwalk, featuring standout performances by Souled Out Groove, Mike Clark Jr., and Sherika Nicole. More than 700 fans gathered for an evening that fused soul music, community, and Southern hospitality.

Miles College’s championship run under Coach Milton Barney capped off a historic weekend, leaving a lasting impression on fans, student-athletes, and the Montgomery community.
